“My career in joinery first began at the age of 16 when I joined college and I became an apprentice for a local firm. I learnt the trade and the tools through hands on experience and after 3 years I became fully qualified up to level 3 in Joinery and carpentry.”
I then carried on my love for the industry and continued to work for the firm. The job role required me to work in housing association properties, council properties/houses schools and NHS buildings. Maintaining the properties, installing kitchens and bathrooms and just the general upkeep was my everyday roles and responsibility.
In 2014 I decided I needed a career change within the sector and wanted to take on a challenge so I became self employed and began shop fitting for an interior firm completing refits and new instillations in hotels, banks, bars, restaurants and clothing stores.
Fast forward to 2019, myself and my brother decided to put our broad knowledge and love for the industry together to create our own business JC interiors. I whole heartedly enjoy the job we do and seeing people’s homes change and develop into somewhere that the customer is happy with is fulfilling and I hope we can continue to do so for many years to come.
“I joined college as soon as I had left school at the age of 16 learning the trade of brick laying. I then began working for a local firm starting as a labourer and from there on began working my way up continuing to work for them for 12 years. In this span of time at this firm I learnt multiple trades and worked in housing association properties, council properties/houses schools and NHS buildings where I maintained the properties; installed kitchens and bathrooms, completed plumbing jobs and just the general upkeep was my everyday role and responsibility. My last few years of working for this company were spent as the foreman which I had worked hard to achieve.
Fast forward to 2019, myself and my brother decided to put our wide skill set together together to create our own business JC interiors. I believe the work that we do is second to none and that is shown by the reviews we get left from customers past and present, we work to an exceptionally high standard and I thoroughly enjoy working in peoples homes to create drastic improvements and changes that make a house a home.”
